Anyone else feel like some parents these days are hovering a little too close 😓 We get it, you wanna protect your little ones, but constant hovering can actually hurt their social skills and keep them from building a strong youth community😵

    Here’s why:

    • Over-scheduling madness: Kids need downtime to just be kids, explore, and figure things out! They don’t need to be booked solid from soccer practice to piano lessons ️⚽️
    • Fear of failure = fear of friends: When parents jump in and fix every little problem, kids miss out on learning how to solve things themselves and build resilience. This can make them shy away from challenges and friendships 🤝
    • Community connections: A strong youth community is key for building confidence and social skills 🫂 When parents are overprotective, kids miss out on those opportunities to grow and learn from their peers.

So, what’s the answer? Let them fly (a little)! Encourage them to explore, make mistakes (we all do!), and build friendship 👨‍👩‍👦. You’ll be surprised at how strong and independent they can become. #ChillParenting #LetKidsBeKids #YouthCommunityMatters
