Oats User Agreement

Welcome to Oats (www.oats.live), a community platform created by the One Oat Foundation Inc. to support young individuals with mental health and soft skills development. By using our platform, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions: Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Oats, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 15 years old to use Oats. By using our platform, you affirm that you meet this age requirement.

We recognize the importance of providing a safe and supportive environment for our younger users, particularly those between the ages of 15 and 18. To learn more, check out our parental guidance. 

3. User Conduct

You agree to use Oats responsibly and respectfully. You will not engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:

 

    • Harassment and Abuse: You will not harass, abuse, or threaten other users. This includes using hate speech, discrimination, or intimidation.

    • Illegal Activities: You will not use Oats for any illegal activities or to promote illegal conduct.

    • Spam and Misleading Information: You will not post spam, misleading information, or engage in deceptive practices.

    • Personal Privacy: You will not post or share private information of other users without their consent.

4. Content Ownership and Usage

 

    • User Content: You retain ownership of the content you create and share on Oats. However, by posting content, you grant Oats a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with our platform.

    • Intellectual Property: You agree not to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. All content and materials on Oats are the property of One Oat Foundation Inc. or its licensors.

5. Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right to review, monitor, and moderate user content to ensure compliance with these Terms. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate our guidelines.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes. Your continued use of Oats following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to Oats if we determine that you have violated these Terms or engaged in any conduct that is harmful to our community.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Oats are provided on an “as-is” basis. We make no warranties regarding the platform’s reliability, availability, or suitability for your needs. Our liability for any damages arising from your use of Oats is limited to the extent permitted by law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where One Oat Foundation Inc. is located, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
